COMPLEXE DOMPARK, COMPLEXE DU CANAL LACHINE AND GESTION IMMOBILIÈRE QUO VADIS OUR SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

At Complexe Dompark, Complexe du Canal Lachine and Gestion Immobilière Quo Vadis we are committed to the well being of our tenants and our communities. Over the years we have made changes and dedicated ourselves to reducing, recycling and reusing whenever possible in our building and through our operations. This includes but is not limited to; wasting less energy and water, ensuring that construction materials and management of our properties are properly disposed of and recycled, as well as using paints and cleaning products that are environmentally conscious.
This not only helps us promote a more sustainable way for all businesses to grow, but also reduces our operating costs and makes our properties run more efficiently. This benefits all of our businesses.

As part of our commitment we have initiated the following;

Energy Conservation:

  • Increased our purchases from local suppliers within 100km
  • Designed and fabricated energy efficient lighting and reducing our energy consumption is common hallways by approximately 50%
  • Replaced old light bulbs with energy efficient models
  • Put into place an Air conditioner policy to only allow efficient machines that are cleaned regularly
  • Windows upgraded to Triple Thermal Pane
  • Roof insulation – Upgraded R-factor
  • Installed bike racks for those who choose this alternative way of travel.

    • Paper / cardboard / plastic
    • Metal / wood / glass
    • Construction materials
    • Electronic equipment
  • Billing and invoicing sent electronically to reduce printing
  • Communications with tenants and suppliers via e-mail and bulletin boards to reduce printing
  • Printers set to double sided copies to reduce paper consumption
  • Waste paper reused for notes and scratch paper to reduce paper consumption.

Pollution Prevention

  • Changed boilers from oil to natural gas in 2003
  • Replaced oil based paint with all latex paint
  • All surfaces cleaned with vinegar/water mix instead of toxic products
  • Changing products used within our building to other environmentally conscious products to better protect our environment.

As new opportunities and methods arise in property management, we continue our dedication to being at the forefront of environmentally conscious companies.
